The Bullitt Center is a commercial office building at the northern edge of the Central District neighborhood, near Capitol Hill, Seattle, Washington. It was officially opened on Earth Day, April 22, 2013. It is designed to be the greenest commercial building in the world when completed in 2012, qualifying for classification as a “Living Building” by the International Living Future Institute.
Back in the late 1970’s Seattle cleaned up an oil refinery right in the center of town on the shores. of Lake Union. A major environmental disaster. Then they made it into a post industrial park. For several years the sewage sludge they used as fill to counteract the oil soaked toxic soil produced bumper crops of both tomatoes and marijuana… two seeds which survive the waste water treatment process.

A new club and restaurant, designed by the Food Network’s ‘Restaurant Impossible’ designer Lynn Kegan, is in the cards for the old Mia Roma location along State Route 522 in Kenmore. Capps Club is scheduled to open this spring said owner Dawna Capps, where they’re planning on bringing in live musical and comedy acts as well as offering a bar and Italian-inspired menu.
