It’s always a great experience to photograph other people’s artworks. Tom and Shauna Saffle have this retreat in the eastern cascades (known as the “Ranchette”) which they have modified into a time capsule of 1950 or 60ish dioramas. Each room has the flavor of days past. Additionally, Tom had me photograph his welded steel sculptures posted around the property. The Elk and Deer trophies are for sale. Tom calls them “torchadermy” (taxidermy with a welder).
They are compelling.
